Our traditional construction technique means we can achieve an insulation factor of K 35 through our use of a range of elements.

Elevation brickwork, 33 cm thick

  • 21 x 10 x 6.5 cm facing-brick.
  • Ventilated hollow core of approx. 3 cm.
  • Insulation 6 cm thick made of rigid extruded polystyrene panel.
  • Argex or terracotta block, 14 cm thick.
Roof insulation

A rock wool fibre insulation blanket, 24 cm thick, covered with a vapour barrier is carefully rolled out in the ceiling of the first floor.

Screed insulation

A 10 cm sprayed polyurethane insulating screed is included in all the rooms on the ground floor and the garages (if there are living spaces on the floor above).

Outside joinery

All window frames are KÖMMERLING'S PVC EUROFUTUR DESIGN 70 mm system with 4.15.4 super-insulating double-glazing and a K factor of 1.1

The garage doors are « HÖRMAN » EPU 40 or LPU 40 double-walled , automatic sectional doors, depending on the plans. Insulated with 4 cm of polyurethane. Apron thickness: 42 mm.

Controlled mechanical ventilation

The frames have adjustable grilles to allow fresh air into dry areas (living rooms, bedrooms, offices).

A mechanical extraction unit is fitted in the attic and connected to areas where there is moist air (bathroom, toilets, kitchen and laundry room) via ventilation ducts to draw out the waste air.
